…I’ve been here for years!!!! Or maybe not. Long time, no see. I know!!! It is the last hours of the decade and my mind is filled with thoughts and memories. As I get ready to move into the new decade, I can’t help but reminisce about the last one. I am not one to do New Year’s resolutions, but I do want to reconnect to my voice more and I can think of no better way to do it than here! This started out as a travel blog but something happened and I drifted away. I guess my words got swallowed by 140 characters and IG posts…no less to say, just more pointed ways to do it. Then the epiphany hits: I don’t really need anyone to listen, I just need to talk. No shocker for anyone that knows me. SO here we go!! The Life and Times of Jamie is back!!! As my life has expanded to more than just travel, so too will my blogspace. I think I may also play around with the format…do some video posts. If you would like to listen, feel free to stop by. As I sit here listening to the slumbering breaths of my heartbeats that swore they would make it to midnight (it’s 10:11 PM CST), I realize that this decade has brought me Love, Loss, and Legacy. I’ve had love before this decade…loss too, but legacy is new for me and probably the most important, If you know me at all, you will know that my little boy Jayden is life to me. He has brought purpose into a life that I frankly thought didn’t need any more. I was wrong. I’ll save the rest of that story for another time. Before I go and wake up the gang, let me leave you with this: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! May the new decade bring you more love, less loss, and a purpose that will truly leave a mark on this world.
