I know…it’s been a while since I have here. The Life and Times of Jamie has had a lot going on and I have failed my 3 readers in keeping you up to date. For that I apologize. It is 2013 and a lot has happened since last we spoke. Let’s do a quick rundown:
1) Yvette came home from Afghanistan!!! Having her here with me is always calming to the soul. Seeing her go into the breach with confidence and strength makes me proud. She’s got spunk for a Air Force chick! 🙂
2) One of my bestest friend on the planet got married. 20 years ago, if you would have told these 16 yr. old kids that Vic would be the last of us to get married…we would have all pointed and laughed at you and asked you to share what you were drinking. But to see peace and happiness come to the best of us was a defining moment for me. Not in the way you would think though…we are still those 16 yr. old kids, just a little taller, a little rounder in the middle, and a little more life etched on our faces…but still dreaming big and not settling for average which leads me to
3) I quit my job. I woke up in Germany after being there for 6 weeks and realized I was working my nether region parts off for someone else’s dream. As you may know, I have been on the road a lot the last 3 years which has been a blast. But there is always a moment when the fork in the road appears and I chose the path less traveled…NOT COOL, ROBERT FROST!!!

Every relationship, personal or business, has to be symbiotic. Both parties have to be giving and getting…when you find yourself giving more than you agreed to and getting less than you planned, it’s time to find another relationship. So…
4) I started my own company. It’s nothing fancy; just me and a dream, but I feel grounded in my dream not someone else’s. As I work through my first contract, I find joy in filing for corporation status, picking a company name, designing my website, you know…entrepreneurial stuff. This is a blog all by itself which I willl write later.
Now that is a brief rundown; I hope you feel caught up. I know I do. 🙂
I promise to not wait so long to do this again. Until next time…
